A man is facing multiple charges after running out of gas during a car chase in Burlington Thursday morning, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they attempted to carry out a traffic stop on a silver Nissan at the intersection of Anthony Road and Industry Drive at around 6.45am.

Officers said the driver of the Nissan, Sentorious Johnson, did not stop and continued to drive at a high speed.

A little further, at the intersection, the 23-year-old young man ran out of gas.

Johnson left the car in the Fabric Outlet parking lot on Tucker Street and drove off.

He was arrested after a brief foot chase at a motel on Hanford Road near Maple Avenue.

Deputies found a gun in his possession along with another gun located in the vehicle.

Authorities checked the vehicle’s registration and confirmed it was reported stolen from Graham earlier in the same week.

Johnson was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center where he is.

He faces several charges:

1ct: Felony flees to evade arrest

2ct: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

1ct: Possession of a stolen motor vehicle

1ct: Offense of resistance, delay, obstruction of a public officer

Johnson received a guaranteed bond of $100,000.
