Baseball semifinal against Clemson moved to 1 p.m.

CHAPEL HILL, NC — Due to the threat of inclement weather, North Carolina’s ACC Baseball Championship semifinal game against Clemson on Saturday, May 27, has been moved to 1 p.m. Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The game will be televised on ACC Network.
The Wake Forest semi-final game against Miami will remain on its regular first pitch of 1 p.m., but will be played at Boshamer Stadium.

The Tar Heels reached the semifinals with a 10-2 victory over No. 2 seed Virginia on Thursday to win Pool B, while the Tigers beat Boston College 4-1 on Friday to win Pool C .
Tomas Frick went 3 for 5 with five RBIs in the win over Virginia, while Jake Knapp threw a solid 5 2/3 innings and held the nation’s best offense to just two runs on five hits before Dalton Pence closes it with 3 1/3 scoreless frames.

UNC will send right-handed pitcher Connor Bovair to the mound. Clemson will counter with left-hander Caden Grice, who pitched 7 1/3 innings against the Tar Heels a week ago, allowing one run and four hits with nine strikeouts.
UNC and Clemson will meet for the fourth time in 10 days after the Tigers swept the Tar Heels in a three-game series to end the regular season.
North Carolina and Clemson meet in the ACC Baseball Championship for the second straight season and 31st time overall. UNC picked up a 9-2 pool win a year ago but trails the all-time tournament series 14-16.
