Caitlyn Jenner paid tribute to her late mother after her memorial service.
The 73-year-old reality TV star expressed her heart at the loss of her mother, Esther Jenner (née McGuire), who passed away in April aged 96.
Sharing a picture of herself speaking at the memorial service, Caitlyn wrote, “I spoke for my mother at the memorial service yesterday. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I miss her terribly every day. She will be loved and missed in a better place.”
Caitlyn’s son Brandon Jenner commented: “So glad I got to say goodbye one last time over the phone. I will remember many moments, but one of my favorite moments will always be when she told me amidst the billowing smoke in her apartment, “It’s not the cigarettes that kill you, it’s the filters that kill you.”
“She rolled her own car all her life until she was 96 years old. Was she maybe on the trail? See you on the other side, grandma.”
Caitlyn’s daughter, Kylie Jenner, added a series of heart emojis to Caitlyn’s post.
Caitlyn shared the news of her mother’s death in a heartfelt post on Instagram last month.
She wrote: “It breaks my heart to report that my mother passed away peacefully yesterday morning. Losing a mother is unique in that she is the only person who has loved me my entire life.”
“I will miss her very much. She was a few weeks from 97 and living a full life. I love you mom.”
