Many companies have been trying for a number of years to replace fossil fuel-based technologies with models that can work with solar power.

Among them are water heaters. Business Wire reported that traditional water heaters are now being replaced by solar water heaters (SWH).

As the demand for eco-friendly water heating solutions increases dramatically, researchers expect the SWH market to reach a valuation of $4.3 billion around 2027.

Increasing demand for solar water heaters

At this time, many experts and organizations are still developing different SWH models.

Recently the BBC reported that an engineer in Scotland has succeeded in developing a portable water heater based on solar energy.

His work is just one of the new SWH systems on the market. Well, this water heating solution uses what is called the collector for those who are unfamiliar with the solar water heater technology.

This component is responsible for storing the solar energy that the SWH system uses to heat a working fluid pumped by natural convection.

The International Energy Agency claimed that using solar water heaters could reduce hot water heating costs by 25% to 50%.

Due to the efficiency of SWH, international governments and government agencies are still investing in the solar water heater market.

Where are SWH systems located?

Solar water heating systems offer various advantages. The hot water they provide can help with bathing, washing dishes, and other similar activities.

This means that private households are among the places where SWH are often located. Of course, commercial companies also use solar water heating systems.

These include hotels, restaurants, shops, etc. Manufacturing facilities also rely on solar water heating systems.

There are different types of SWHs, such as: B. active solar water heating systems, passive solar water heating systems, indirect solar water heating systems and direct solar water heating systems.
