Hunter Schafer joins “Mother Mary” alongside Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel

Hunter Schafer will share the screen with some celebrity stars.
ET can confirm that A24 has cast the 24-year-old Euphoria actress to star alongside Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel in the studio’s upcoming film Mother Mary, which has been described as a “pop music epic”.
According to the film’s description, “Mother Mary” is about a beloved musician (played by Hathaway) and her relationship and connection with a legendary fashion designer (played by Coel).
According to Deadline, Schafer will play a personal assistant to Coel’s fashion designer.
The project will be led by David Lowery – known for his previous work with A24 directing A Ghost Story and The Green Knight, as well as his acclaimed films Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, A Ghost Story and most recently “Peter Pan”. & Wendy.
“Mother Mary” will also feature original songs written for the film by Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX.
As for Schafer – who rose to fame playing Jules, the love interest of Zendayas Rue, on A24’s hit TV series Euphoria – the acclaimed actress will soon be starring in the upcoming prequel to the Hunger Games, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes , to star alongside Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick in upcoming thriller Cuckoo.
