Khloe Kardashian loves being a mom.
The 38-year-old reality TV personality called raising children “an honor and a gift” after recently giving birth to a son with her ex Tristan Thompson as a surrogate, the father of their four-year-old daughter True.
She told Elle magazine: “To be able to mold little people into really incredibly big people is an honor and a gift.
“I know it’s cliche, but I love everything, even the hard parts [of parenting]. It’s super scary, but I take my job very seriously.”
“We need to take these roles seriously, especially in this day and age with the accessibility of children and the information they are exposed to at such a young age.”
News broke last month that Khloe was “incredibly grateful” to be expecting a second child with the NBA star, who she split from after it was revealed he was having a child with another woman, Maralee Nichols, a boy named Theo, had fathered while they were together.
A source claimed: “Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We would like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family.”
The insider revealed the couple, who started dating in 2016, haven’t reconciled because of the child conceived before the “scandal hit.”
They added: “Khloé and Tristan already had the baby in the works when the scandal hit. At that point, all Khloé was like was, ‘I’m going to do it myself.'”
In April, Khloe shared that she felt “incredibly secure” at the beginning of her relationship with Tristan.
She said, “In the beginning I felt incredibly confident, and I felt really good for a while,” before later adding, in the same interview with Robin Roberts, “I still think he’s a great guy” and a “great Father is.
