The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after two people were shot dead in south Louisville on Saturday. Police said they received reports of a shooting around 5pm that left two victims. LMPD located a woman on the 3200 block of Commerce Center Place, while a man was found in the 3300 block of Penway Drive, not far away. According to initial investigations by the LMPD, they said the two victims were outside a shop on Cane Run Road and Bells Lane when they were shot and fled the scene. Both the man and woman are dead from possible injuries, police said. They were taken to UofL Hospital for treatment. Police have yet to determine the relationship between the two victims. The second branch of the LMPD is investigating the shooting and has made no arrests.
