Meghan Markle’s claims about their marriage have been dismissed by South African celebrities

Meghan Markle has been criticized for comparing her marriage to Nelson Mandela’s release.

In a recent interview with The Cut, Meghan reportedly said a South African cast member suggested that her marriage to Prince Harry sparked scenes of joy in South Africa, much like anti-apartheid activist Nelson Mandela’s 1990 release from prison .

Meghan said: “He looked at me and he’s like light. He said, ‘You just have to know: when you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets as much as when Mandela got out of prison.’ “

According to Britain’s Daily Express Early, a man who claims to be the only South African cast member denies ever meeting Meghan Markle.

The publication reported, “Although it is believed that no other South African actors will star in the film, other South African nationals were involved in the film who may have attended the premiere.”

Express.co.uk said South African singer Lindiwe Mkhize, who sang Circle of Life in the 2019 remake and was also an actor in the stage play, also attended the event.
