Michigan finished 23rd overall in the NCAA championships with 33 points.
The team of Lindsay Flynn, Christy Laing, Brady Kendall and Claire Newman finished 15th with a time of 3:14.58.
Michigan earned All-America honorable mentions in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay.
Letitia Sim earned an honorable mention All-American in the 100-yard breaststroke.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Michigan women’s swimming and diving team finished 23rd at the 2023 NCAA Championships (March 18), hosted by Tennessee at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

In the final event of the 2023 NCAA Championships, Lindsay Flynn, Christey Liang, Brady Kendall and Claire Newman finished 15th overall in the 400-yard freestyle relay race with a time of 3:14.58.

In the preliminaries, Letitia Sim was the fastest Wolverine in the morning with a time of 2:08.39 in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing 18th. In the 200-yard butterfly preliminaries, Katie Crom finished 19th with a time of 1:55.29. Both swimmers narrowly missed the B final in their respective events.

In the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries, Flynn and Natalie Kan finished 21st and 49th respectively.

Michigan earned an honorable mention All-America in the 200-yard medley relay (Noelle Kaufmann, Sim, Kan, Flynn), 200-yard freestyle relay (Flynn, Newman, Kan, Kendall), medley relay 400 yard relay (Kaufman, Sim, Kendall, Flynn) and the 400 yard freestyle relay (Flynn, Liang, Brady, Newman). Sim earned an honorable mention All-American in the 100-yard breaststroke.
