Nabis partners with Equity Trade Network to distribute BIPOC brands to the world’s largest cannabis market

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE). The collaboration makes it easier for brands to enter California markets and adds scalability at no additional cost.
“Logistics continues to be a bottleneck for brands, especially small business owners who lack access to private capital and other financial resources. With our deep fulfillment footprint and wealth of data insights, Nabis can help Equity Trade Network companies focus on important endeavors like brand innovation without getting bogged down by sales challenges,” said Jun S. Lee, co-CEO and co-founder of Nabi. “Our goal is to make logistics turnkey for Equity Trade Network companies.”
The partnership further places California as a national leader on cannabis social justice issues. By removing barriers for BIPOC, LGBTQ and veteran-led brands, their products can hit pharmacy shelves across the state immediately. These brands can now connect seamlessly with dispensary decision makers who strive to directly support social justice and diversity in cannabis.
In addition, the Equity Trade Network offers brands a certification mark that is federally registered for companies that have at least a 50% ownership interest in people who are marginalized by systemic policies limiting access and opportunity. To qualify, brands must demonstrate how their business model and network support the overarching goals of racial justice and diversity in cannabis. Certified brands include: California Rolls, Cloud 9, Dolo Rolling Co, Elefante, Headstash, KGB Reserve and SF Roots, along with others such as Gift of Doja and Sanctuary Farms CA to come.
“When people buy these brands, they’re supporting reinvestment in local communities and businesses and voting with their dollars,” said Ramon Garcia, co-founder of Equity Trade Network. “This collaboration brings wind under the sails of so many outstanding and committed entrepreneurs from marginalized communities who are still struggling with failed strategies that have stifled growth and success for too long.”
