New entertainment options for MSC Seascape

MSC Cruises today announced details of the new entertainment options onboard MSC Seascape, which are scheduled to debut in December.
The highlight will be ROBOTRON, an amusement ride that offers a roller coaster ride at sea combined with a personalized DJ music experience, the company announced.
MSC Seascape will also feature two brand new virtual reality experiences and a range of other high-tech entertainment offerings designed for holidaymakers of all ages. ROBOTRON is a state-of-the-art robotic arm with an attached gondola that seats three guests and lets them hover 53 meters above the sea.
Riders have an unobstructed 360° view of the horizon as they hang over the edge of the deck, pivot in different directions, and flip and flip.
ROBOTRON offers a personalized DJ experience where guests are invited to curate their musical journey with colors, music preferences and more, depending on the cruise line.
Seated on the mixing desk, guests find themselves behind the DJ booth, with rhythm and bass visualized as colorful patterns, pulses of light and people dancing on a giant video screen while the robotic arm hops and spins in tempo. Riders can also choose their thrill, making ROBOTRON both a family-friendly and thrilling experience.
In addition to ROBOTRON, other high-tech entertainment features onboard MSC Seascape include:
- VR 360° flight simulator: An immersive simulator is the ultimate virtual roller coaster experience, complete with VR headsets and amazing special effects. Guests can choose from different worlds in which to immerse themselves in an incomparable roller coaster ride.
- VR Motorcycles: Guests will feel transported to the racing ring, with wind and water effects to complete the experience.
- MSC Formula Racer: This activity puts guests in the driver’s seat in an exciting racing simulation game with realistic effects.
- Immersive XD Cinema: Wearing 3D glasses, this immersive activity allows guests to immerse themselves in alternate worlds where players battle zombies, skeletons, and more.
Brandon Briggs, SVP Onboard Revenues, MSC Cruises, said: “We are delighted to offer our guests endless high-tech entertainment options aboard MSC Seascape to satisfy the desires of adrenaline seekers who want to experience the latest thrills . ROBOTRON, the first-ever robotic ride on a cruise ship, will create a new standard of fun with an immersive, customized ride experience unique to each rider. Our additional entertainment options with elements of virtual reality, special effects and simulators ensure unforgettable experiences that amaze guests.”
