Samsung provides private 5G networks

Samsung has announced that it will roll out private 5G networks to both the public and private sectors in Korea.
These new private 5G networks will be available to non-telecom operators and will operate at 4.7GHz and 28GHz, which are bands designed only for private networks.
“Private 5G networks will enable progressive changes in all industries. Applications like digital twins, autonomous vehicles, AI and AR are just a small glimpse of the wealth of use cases Samsung can bring to life with 5G,” said Yong Chang, vice president of global sales and marketing, networks business at Samsung Electronics. “Samsung understands the unique needs of businesses and is able to deliver optimized network experiences. We look forward to driving the private 5G ecosystem in Korea.”
Samsung will offer its advanced 5G private network solutions to a range of public and private sector entities – including energy, security, water resource management, medical services and medical education.
In the public sector, Samsung will work with three major government agencies to help them ensure workplace safety and efficiency through the deployment of intelligent, AI-enabled connectivity solutions
