Michigan is in 21st place with 29 points after three days of competition.
Letitia Sim led from start to finish in the 100-yard breaststroke to win the “B” final and ninth place overall with a time of 58.48.
The Wolverines return to the pool Saturday for the final day of the NCAA Championships.

Knoxville, Tenn. –The University of Michigan women’s swimming and diving team sits in 21st place after Night 3 of the NCAA Championships Friday, March 17, at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
Letitia Sim, the only Wolverine in the individual final on Night Three, led from start to finish first in the 100-yard breaststroke “B” final and ninth overall with a time of 58.48.
In the 400-yard medley relay, the team of Noelle Kaufmann, Sim, Brady Kendall and Lindsay Flynn clocked 3:30.52 to finish 12th and earn an All-America honorable mention.
In the 400-yard individual medley preliminaries, Kathryn Ackerman kicked off the Wolverines with a first-place finish in the second run, swimming in 4:12.83, but finished 29th overall. Devon Kitchel finished 39th overall with a time of 4:16.96.
Next up was Natalie Kan in the 100 yard butterfly. She finished with a time of 52.57 to finish 35th. In the 200-yard freestyle, Katie Crom went in 1:45.54 to place 26th in the preliminaries.
In diving, Kiarra Milligan finished with a score of 276.80 for 29th in three-metre springboard.
The Wolverines return to the pool Saturday, March 18 for the final day of the NCAA Championships at the llan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. Preliminaries start at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
