(1) Pierz 1, (5) Cathedral 0: The Pioneers crowned the only run of the game with a two-out rally at the end of the third period. Alyssa Sadlovsky hit a three to left center and finished with an RBI single from Kenna Otte. Both starters, Frankie Seelen from Pierz and Ella Voit from Cathedral, achieved double-digit strikeouts.
(3) Pequot Lakes 6, (2) Albany 5
Tuesday’s list includes (1) Pierz vs. (3) Pequot Lakes. In the elimination group, it’s (2) Albany vs. (4) Kimball and (5) Cathedral vs. (6) Melrose. The winners of these games play at 19:00
8AAA sections
(1) ROCORI 5, (4) Alexandria 1
(2) Sauk Rapids-Rice 3, (3) Little Falls 2
ROCORI and Sauk Rapids-Rice meet in the semifinals Tuesday at 10:00 am in Cold Spring. Alexandria and Little Falls play in the elimination tournament at noon. The loser of the semifinals will play the winner of the elimination match at 14:00. The championship round takes place at St Ben’s on Thursday.
8AAAA sections
(2) Brainerd 3, (6) St Cloud Crush 0
(7) Sartell 3, (3) Rogers 1: The Sabers stay alive in the elimination round, beating Rogers away.
On Tuesday, the (6) Crush will play (5) Moorhead and (7) Sartell will play (4) Elk River. Both games begin at 4:00 p.m. in Elk River. The teams have to win, otherwise the season is over. Another elimination game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m
