These are the best hotels in Ohio, according to US News & World Report

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two downtown Cincinnati hotels are the best in Ohio, according to a new ranking from US News & World Report.

The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland, meanwhile, tops northeast Ohio and ranks third among the best hotels in the state.

Earning the top spot in this year’s rankings: the Lytle Park Hotel, which opened in Cincinnati in 2020, followed by the 21c Museum Hotel, which doubles as a museum of modern art in downtown Cincinnati.

US News & World Report bases its annual rankings on a calculation that combines hotel class, industry awards, and guest satisfaction measured through TripAdvisor reviews.

Other Greater Cleveland hotels ranked among the best in the state include the InterContinental Cleveland, Inn Walden at Aurora, and Metropolitan at The 9.

Note: US News only ranks luxury hotels, including properties that typically get a 4 or 5 star rating. So some popular hotels, including, for example, the highly rated Drury Plaza Hotel Downtown Cleveland, are not included in the results. The magazine limits its ranking to luxury properties, as travelers looking for advice on the best places to stay are “typically looking for high-end options,” according to news reports. To be considered, properties must have at least 20 rooms for the night.

The magazine has ranked more than 6,000 properties in 50 states, including 114 in Ohio.
