Three US postal workers charged with theft

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTAJ) – Three US Postal Service employees from Pennsylvania have been charged with allegedly stealing mail and gift cards, according to the Justice Department.
Adam Galagher, 38, of Rochester, and Christina Ankney, 39, of Braddock, are both charged with stealing mail at work, according to the US Attorney’s Office, Western District of Pennsylvania. In addition, India Schatzman, 47, has been accused by McKees Rocks of stealing a gift card from the mail.
All three Postal workers were indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh, according to acting US Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Pennsylvania, Ohio resident charged with state drug charges
The indictment charges Gallagher with stealing mail on October 19, 2022, while Ankney is charged with stealing mail on May 19, 2022. Schatzman is accused of stealing a gift card from the mail on December 30, 2022.
If found guilty, they each face up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. A supervised release period of up to three years could also be granted.
The United States Postal Inspection Services conducted investigations into these alleged thefts, which led to the three charges.
