In 1977, the Sex Pistols’ second single, “God Save the Queen”, was released to coincide with Queen Elizabeth’s Silver Jubilee celebrations in June. The record, which opens with “God Save the Queen, She’s Not Human”, reached the UK top ten despite being banned from airplay.

In 1980, David Lee Roth broke his nose and suffered a concussion when he jumped off Alex Van Halen’s drum riser and crashed into the stage light. At that time they were recording an Italian TV special in Rome.

In 2018, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” became the first Korean-language album to hit number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
