In 1974, Jefferson Airplane embarked on its first tour as the Jefferson Starship.
In 1976, blues-rock guitarist Paul Kossoff, formerly Free, died on board a plane en route from London to New York. He was 26 years old. He died of unknown causes but was plagued by heart problems.
In 1982, guitarist Randy Rhoads of Ozzy Osbourne’s band died in a freak plane crash in Leesburg, Florida. He was 25. The plane buzzed Osbourne’s tour bus and crashed into a house.
In 1996 the second part of the Beatles’ album “Anthology” was released with the song “Real Love”.
In 2000, a load of Oscars was found in a Los Angeles trash can a week after they were stolen from a loading dock.
