This year has been a busy one for celebrity property buying, with stunning prices being paid for many of the world’s most exclusive homes.
From Hollywood actors to famous singers, musicians and tech-savvy billionaire entrepreneurs, here are five of this year’s most exclusive sales.
Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden’s Montecito Mansion
Retired movie star Cameron Diaz and her rock star husband Benji Madden spent $12.67 million in May on a Montecito mansion that can be compared to an estate in Italy’s famed Lake Como area.
The three storey villa comprises 1020 sqm of living space, sea views and sits on 1.75 acres.
The property comprises six en-suite bedrooms, seven bathrooms and three toilets including a deluxe junior suite on the ground floor.
Inside the mansion there are high ceilings, marble and wide hardwood floors, a serpentine staircase and a gallery in the domed, double-height foyer, while the adjoining living rooms each offer a fireplace.

Australian supermodel Kristy Hinze Clark’s $251 million Florida home
The celebrity couple, Australian supermodel Kristy Hinze Clark and her husband, Netscape founder Jim Clark, sold their Florida home for a record-breaking $251 million.
The Palm Beach home features over three waterfront soccer fields, a three-hole PGA standard golf course, 30 bedrooms and 360 degree water views.
The home is located on an exclusive barrier island accessible only through a series of tunnels, but is only a short drive to the upscale shopping and dining district of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.
Features include a range of formal and informal living and dining areas, a media room, libraries, offices, numerous terraces, an expansive wine cellar and two elevators.
Adam Levine’s $52M purchase of Rob Lowe’s mansion
In April, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and his model wife Behati Prinsloo spent a whopping $52 million on Rob Lowe’s former mansion.
Lowe sold the 3.5-acre estate to private equity manager Jack McGinley for $44.5 million in 2020, who then sold it to Levine in an off-market deal.
The mansion has a living area of 929 m² with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms as well as three guest toilets.
The property also includes a two bedroom, two bathroom guest house and a pool house with another bedroom, one bathroom.

Jeff Bezos’ $74 million Florida mansion
Amazon founder and one of the richest men in the world, Jeff Bezos, recently took up residence in two side-by-side mansions in Florida’s Coral Gables for $74 million.
Technically, the two properties were bought by Miguel and Jacklyn Bezos, who are Jeff’s stepfather and mother.
The modern property in the Mediterranean villa style has five bedrooms and five bathrooms on more than 790 m² of living space.
The second property stretches over 1200 sqm with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms and features modern interiors and a sleek kitchen, glass walls and a huge foyer with a saltwater pool and expansive terraces served by a full outdoor kitchen.
