US confirms use of Chinese munitions in Ukraine

WASHINGTON — The United States has confirmed shots of Chinese ammunition have been used on battlefields in Ukraine and suspects they were fired by Russian forces, government sources said on Friday.
Whether the ammunition was supplied by China remains unclear, US government sources said, while Washington added it was ready to take action if it is confirmed Beijing made the shipments.
Amid a spate of disagreements between the United States and China, officials recently said Washington possesses information that suggests Beijing is considering sending arms and ammunition to Russia.
