Multimedia production company opened | local news

AMESBURY – A multimedia production company recently celebrated its grand opening in the city.
Studios 15 was founded in June 2020 by Business Director Alexander Thompson and Creative Director Imari Bratcher. The two co-owners celebrated their grand opening on February 23 in their new suite 214 space at Trades Mill, 6 Chestnut St.
Thompson said they previously shared a studio in Malden with another production company, but wanted a place in the Merrimack Valley where they both live.
“We looked around and drove to Lawrence and a few parts in Haverhill and just couldn’t find anything that would fit,” Thompson said. “And also, we tried to find something that would suit our business, like some sort of mill style.”
He said they eventually settled on Amesbury and were shocked at how quickly they adjusted to the community.
“Amesbury is a very welcoming city,” said Thompson. “I felt that we were more welcome here than in any other city. It’s very community based.”
Thompson noted that everyone he met who might have been a competitor instead offered to help or collaborate.
“Even though we’re a multimedia film production company, there are other photographers and videographers in the building and they say, ‘We don’t want to come to you in competition, we want to work together,'” Thompson said.
He said before they came to Amesbury they worked mostly in the Boston area. Her portfolio has included work with the Federation for Children with Special Needs, TGI Fridays, Planned Parenthood, the Merrimack Valley YMCA and the Never Walk Alone Foundation.
In a release to The Daily News, Thompson said Studio 15 is more than a two-man team.
“We have such talented individuals working with us and look forward to adding more as our business expands,” he said.
Since moving to the Trade Mill Building, Studio 15 has already started working with local businesses. A commercial was recently completed for m cacao, a neighboring chocolatier who recently debuted one of their products at the Grammys.
M Cacao owner Michael Nichols praised Studio 15’s work.
“I had a quick turnaround project and these guys jumped on it and produced a great product,” Nichols said in the press release. “Very agile, responsive and professional. I look forward to working with them on more projects.”
