Pennsylvania woman mauled to death by neighbor’s dogs

A Perry County woman was mauled to death by her neighbor’s dogs, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Soldiers said Kristin Potter, 38, died after being attacked by Great Danes in the 700 block of Clouser Hollow Road in Center Township, southwest of New Bloomfield. Coroner Robert Ressler said the neighbor asked Potter to feed the dogs while he was away. It was something Potter had done before. Potter and his young son went home Thursday evening. to attack his mother, he ran across the road for his brother to call 911,” Ressler said. Ressler said police and emergency medical services were unable to reach Potter when they arrived because of the aggressive dogs. . The animals were then taken to a veterinarian and euthanized. A third Great Dane was there but was not involved in the attack. State police are investigating.

“He was present at the scene, but I don’t think he was there for much of it. As soon as he saw the dogs start attacking his mum, he ran across the road for his brother to call 911,” Ressler said. .
Ressler said police and emergency medical services were unable to reach Potter when they arrived because of the aggressive dogs.
Animal control was called and tranquilized the dogs. The animals were then taken to a veterinarian and euthanized.
A third Great Dane was there but was not involved in the attack.
State police are investigating.
